TIPS TO RECOGNISE APPROPRIATE PVC FLOOR COVERINGS

The flooring must have a PVC surface on both sides, Cement and glue residues do NOT disturb the recycling process.

Floorings which breaks when folded are not acceptable: Linoleum breaks; semi-flexible tiles which may contain asbestos break with a noticeable noise.

Floorings incorporating textiles are not acceptable: carpet; coconut fibre; jute felt; felt; polyester felt

Self-adhesive PVC floor coverings are not acceptable.

Floorings containing asbestos, paper/cardboard or Rockwool are not acceptable.

As it is difficult to distinguish between cushioned vinyl flooring on card board or paper from those on asbestos paper we are not able to accept any of the above mentioned floorings.

Rubber floorings are not acceptable. Rubber flooring often has a characteristic studded structure it possible to tear rubber.
