From the greeting address sent by the German Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety, Ms Svenja Schulze, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the AGPU in June 2018.
“The AGPU has been involved in introducing collection and recycling systems since the early 1990s. These include systems for windows and floor coverings - and thus, for the most important used building products made of PVC.
The industry has thus paved the way for resource-efficient material cycles from an early date and has helped to ensure that its material meets the criteria for sustainability. This also benefits the climate: the energy- and resource-efficient building products used for new building projects and in improving the energy efficiency of buildings make an important contribution to reaching the German government’s climate protection goals.”
